Websites that I use
I wanted to give a shout out to myself on all of the other cool Internet services; but, now with Google Profile doing such a good job on this, just check me out there:
I'm the Evan Carroll (with or without a space) from LinkedIn, Github, IRC - Freenode, Reddit, Perlmonks, StackOverflow (and other trilogy sites). I think it is fairly safe to say I wrote all of the code published under my born name: Evan Carroll. See more info on the fake me(s) below:
Caveat: Infidel Impostors
The traditional human naming scheme is insecure and plagued with unoriginality and unfortunately there are few imitation Evan Carrolls out there. Luckily, as far as I know, the importers have no involvement with the open source community. They have also never contacted me. The importers are as follows:
- There is one who shows up in Google under his Blogger account. Just some kid that I'm not likely to be confused with.
- There is another Christian "Experience Designer" that rips off my name and hosts on the .net TLD using a Worldpress equipped with a purchased WooTheme (OverEasy). It is important to note this Evan pursued a career doing something remotely technical, and even writes broad letters with buzz terms that pertain to open standards. I don't know of his work on any of these standards and I've never come in contact with him in the OS community in Texas or online.
Please if you're a recruiter, do your research. I can not attest to his level of knowledge. He tweets and I don't -- I'll end on that.
- There is guy who worked on Diablo II, I believe graphics, by the same name as me. If you find my site, give me a shout.
I will conclude this rant about the infidels by declaring war with them. Let my forces of good prevail.
